I wrote this song over the course of Summer 2014 after two very confusing, and upsetting, situations with two separate girls. Bridges were burned, hurt was caused, but everything turned out okay in the end. At least I got this song.
Everything said is true.
lyrics
Verse 1:
I thought you were/the one/for me
But I was blind/I could not see/
Caught in a dream of/what I hoped we could be/
Mona Lisa won't you, come down
Verse 2:
I loved your/pretty smile
kept me/warm the
whole/day through
but you never smiled at me
The way I did you
Mona Lisa, won't you come down
Verse 3:
Sitting here/writing this song/
As I'm/thinking 'bout/
How things went wrong/
Our friendship is gone
And all that's left is this song
Mona, Lisa won't you come down
Verse 4:
The years have/passed away
I have
Nothing more/to say
What was there/ is gone
Yet I still sing/this song
Mona Lisa, won't you come down.
